About Patient Opinion Ireland
For a quick guide to who we are and what we do, check out our FAQs page.
Patient Opinion is a website which allows the public to share a story about their Health and/or social care experience in a safe and simple way. The website provides a platform which automatically sends stories to the right service/s. This allows them to respond to and learn from the feedback to improve care for everyone.
Patient Opinion Ireland was established in 2014, following in the footsteps of Patient Opinion (now Care Opinion), Patient Opinion Australia (POA) and Patient Opinion Scotland ( Also now Care Opinion).
Patient Opinion was founded in the UK in 2005 and since then has grown to be the UK's leading independent non-profit feedback platform for health services.
Patient Opinion Ireland is about honest and meaningful conversations between patients and health services. We believe that your story can help to make health services better.
How it works:
Share your story about using a health service
We send your story to staff so that they can learn from it
You might get a response
Your story might help staff to change services
Share your story and help make our health service better!
Health and social care organisations
Patient Opinion Ireland works because health and social care organisations are able to easily hear this feedback. If your healthcare organisation doesn't currently work with Patient Opinion Ireland, then get in touch! It’s free to register, so that you can listen and respond too.
For organisations who want to make the most of this system, Patient Opinion Ireland offers a subscription service. This service helps busy organisations to use real time feedback to have a genuine impact on their services. We help make sense of the feedback and data, giving your busy staff a simple way to make cost-effective, measurable improvements – that are visible to everyone!
