"ECG Out patient appointment"

About: Connolly Memorial Connolly Memorial / Cardiology

(as the patient),

I recently attended Blanchardstown hospital. I was given a referral letter from my own GP. I had been having palpitations. I went in the following morning for an ECG. I was only waiting approx 30 minutes. Staff were extremely nice. Was given heart monitor to be worn for 48 hours and was told I'd get a follow up appointment with the cardiac team. I got my app for outpatient clinic about 6 weeks later. Consultant went through my ECG and holter results with a fine tooth comb. Explained in lay mans terms why he thought palpitations were happening. Was given loads of reassurance. Since then he has written a detailed report to my GP. Am feeling well again thank god but just on the safe side a stress test will be organised. Had fantastic experience. Hospital is very professional. Clean. Hospital canteen is grand. Parking reasonable. No complaints at all.
