I have attended the Ballymote Day Centre for a number of years. I find that being there helps me a lot. I get to meet and talk with different people from different backgrounds. The nurses and staff are very helpful and will do everything in their power to help and and give advice. I believe the service is second to none and I cant think of much more to improve the service. We participate in the day to day activities such as: doing the crosswords, a word wheel, relaxation tapes and playing cards, so I think this is an excellent service.

Thanks for posting your feedback on behalf of the person who has been attending the Ballymote Day Centre and to the person who has provided this feedback to you, please pass on our thanks and share our response with them.

It’s really great to hear that they find the staff so helpful and they seem to have enjoyed the daily activities at the Centre.

Currently we are undergoing a reconfiguration of the services provided at The Rock Mental Health Day Centre. With a vision for social integration we have been working with patients and their families to involve patients who attend the centre into more community based services which would also be closer to their homes. The mental health needs of all of the patients who have been attending the day centre for the last number of years will continue to be met by the staff here on the mental health team. We do acknowledge that it will be in a different way to how patients may have experienced it up until now. We have been working very closely with other day service providers in the area to facilitate these changes and patients have any concerns about these changes, we do encourage them to talk to the staff here.
