"No bed available for my diabetic mother"

About: General Practice

(as a relative),

My mother has been ill for the past 5 weeks. First Southdoc (a bug), then A + E (not sure what it is), then GP (not sure), then medical assessment (a virus), back to GP (still not sure), back to medical assessment (diagnosed a large hernia and fatty infiltration of the liver). Now bear in mind my mother is a type 2 insulin dependent diabetic and obviously needs to eat regularly for her blood sugars and during all these 5 weeks she has been vomiting (not even keeping water down) and in pain but to this day has not been offered or given any medication or any plan as to what is going to happen next regards her treatment. All we keep hearing is 'NO BEDS'. Wits end comes to mind. Where do we go from here? ? ? ? Leave her at home to get worse? ? ? We have actually considered going to the UK to get treatment for her which is just a ridiculous thing to have to do with such a sick woman.
